Just another day in the life...
So, the other day Ian managed to climb into his chair, turn himself around and sit down. Of course our camera batteries died in the middle of the operation. How long do you think it will be before he walking? This child isn't even 8 mos old yet? We are in so much trouble.

Growing Up Too Fast!
This has been a fun filled few weeks. Over the last 6 weeks we have had company for 5 of them. It's been so nice--especially the ever helpful, good natured, and EXCELLENT baby sitter our cousin Kimmie. Who knew having a 16 year old in the house could be so easy and so helpful. I think every home should have one!
Over the last few weeks...Kimmie taught Ian to crawl, which led to him pulling up; Olivia got a ride-on tricycle (her first); and the babies got their very own arm chairs for the living room. We've been to the beach like 4 times where Olivia loves to dig in the sand and helps Dad put up the sun tents. We have played outside a lot! Olivia loves it out there! And we keep working on finding new things to eat. Ian is eating baby food like a champ, which often leads Olivia to eat some too. Olivia loves eggs, ham, sausage, bacon, cheerios, yogurt, milk, apple juice, rice crackers, malt biscuits, broccoli, spaghetti sauce, toast, tuna casserole, egg salad, and tuna salad.
We also went to visit the Clapham Clock Museum here in Whangarei--it is the largest collection of clocks in the Southern Hemisphere.
This week will be very busy as we get ready to move into our new house. We are so excited! We'll be sure to put up new pictures after we get settled.

The Silliness Never Ends!
So I Think We Are Moving?
We have found a very cute little house in Whangarei. It has been on the market to sell, but since the market is slow it is available for a long term rental. It is cheaper than where we are now and very cute!!! It is 3 bedrooms with new bath, new kitchen, and a gorgeous deck. It is an early 20th century bungalow with original fixtures, even the glass in the windows! We are hoping to move Feb. 12. Here are some pictures...

Bath Time
Well, it was bath time yesterday and the kids were just so cute I had take pictures. Olivia is almost too big for our baby bath tub, but she still prefers it to our big porcelain tub. Ian actually got his bath first and as you can see from the movie, Olivia was so tickled by his splashing that she wanted to climb up and get in the tub too. So, after changing the water (of course), it was Olivia's turn. There's nothing as sweet as a clean baby.
Ian splishing and a splashing!

Still Amazing
So, I thought chasing one toddler was bad, but two is definitely worse! Not only is my baby boy standing up he is crawling everywhere! He will even crawl from the living room into the kitchen. I am going to have to keep a close eye on this one! And as if Ian crawling wasn't enough his new found independence has made big sister more clingy. My independent girl has become "mommy can't leave the room" girl again. It's very sweet, but hard to get much done. Don't get me wrong--I LOVE every minute of it!
We're all having a allergy filled day--headaches, runny noses and sneezing. Cooler day though, that was nice!
usually allow this kind of thing--hard to teach a 7.5 mos
old the rules of the house...
her matching gummies are still too big.

Guess Who Is Pulling UP?
This morning when we went in to get the kids up, Ian did a little trick for us. He was sitting up in his bed that we haven't lowered yet. So he got up on his knees, scooted towards the rail, put his hands up on the rail, pulled himself up and took two steps until he was standing next to the railing. Can you believe that? He is only 7.5 months. Olivia was like 10 months before she did that. What am I gonna do? I think I am going to have two toddlers on my hands in a few weeks.
Here we go again...
