Whangarei is a very scenic town, as are all places in New Zealand. These are just a few images from Mair Park and some of the town as taken from the car.

Mair Park

This rock wall inside the park is likely 100 years old or more.
John said they are dry built no mud, and were put
there by farmers to mark their land back in the early days.

Jolly big tree!

Another shot of the river.

Along the mountain range. This area was
created from a volcanic erruption many years back.
There are big rocks that came down from these
mountains and are now part of this river crater area.
